INFORMATION  LETTER

Dear colleagues!

The Department of Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines with a Bioethics Course, the branch of the International Network of Departments of Bioethics of the TDSI and the Department of Social Sciences of the Tashkent Medical Academy - announces the start of accepting papers for the conference "BIOETHICS AND LAW", which will be held on May 12 online.

 

The conference will address the following issues:

1. Human dignity and human rights.

2. Social regulation and moral and legal problems in certain areas of medical activity: regional and international context.

3. Ethics and legal regulation of emergency situations: history and present.

4. Expanding or changing the content of the concept of informed consent in emergency situations

5. Legal responsibility of medical workers.

6. Forensic medicine, law and ethics.

7. Bioethics and moral and legal problems of religious consciousness.

8. Bioetization of law: the formation of legal culture and increasing the level of human legal awareness.

9. The role and importance of the humanities in improving the professionalism and quality of medical education.

In the field of healthcare, strengthening public health, conducting biomedical research, developing and implementing innovative technologies in biomedicine and genetics, the Republic of Uzbekistan is guided, first of all, by the norms of international law.

They are enshrined in such documents as: the Nuremberg Code (1947); Helsinki Declaration of Human Rights (1964) with additions; Harmonized tripartite rules for conducting qualitative clinical trials GCP-1999, BMP Ltd.; WHO Recommendations to Ethics Committees Reviewing Biomedical Research (2000); a number of UNESCO documents: "Declaration of the Principles of Tolerance" (1995), "Universal Declaration on the Human Genome and Human Rights" (1997), "Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights" (2005). The most important document is the Council of Europe Convention "On the Protection of Human Rights and Dignity in Connection with the Application of Biology and Medicine".

The Republic has a National Strategy for Sustainable Development and the Concept of Health Development in the Republic of Uzbekistan, which are the basis for the adoption of legal acts and nationwide programs that define specific activities and resources for ethical and legal control over the implementation of medical and clinical activities and biomedical research. The basic principles of bioethics recommended by WHO are enshrined in the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, government decrees, orders and instructions of the Ministry of Health. Determines the state policy in the field of public health protection, the legal, economic and ethical foundations for conducting clinical, biomedical and genetic research on humans, as well as the rights and obligations of the patient, primarily the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On protecting the health of citizens" .

The main goal of the conference is to conduct a broad discussion of key issues of bioethics and medical ethics in emergency situations and human rights in different countries of the world with the participation of leading scientists and experts in the field of medicine, life sciences, philosophy and law, representatives of various religious denominations and public organizations.

Applications for participation in the conference and report materials (abstracts) with the registration form should be sent before April 15, 2022 to the email address muhamedova_zamir@mail.ru, fatamur@mail.ru (mandatory as an attachment) and 1 copy of the paper version, indicating in the letter the desired form of participation (oral, publication without a report).

The organizing committee will inform you about the inclusion of an oral report in the conference program.

 

Rules for issuing abstracts:

Abstracts are accepted in electronic form, made in a text editor Word (Word version 97 and higher). The volume of abstracts: not less than 3 pages and not more than 5 pages. Font: Times New Roman. Font size: 14 points. Line spacing: one and a half - no more than 30 lines per page. Margin sizes: left -30mm, right 10mm, top and bottom 20mm. Abstract structure: title, purpose, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusions.

The topics of reports should correspond to the program issues of the conference. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject reports that do not correspond to the subject of the conference and the rules of registration. Responsibility for the content of submitted materials rests entirely with the authors. A registration form is attached to the text of the reports on a separate sheet (separate for each (co)author, participant of the conference). It is planned to publish a collection of abstracts. Works will be indexed in DOI and Google Scholar.
